regulations of the United StatesEnvironmental Protection Agency (EPA) for 1997 and later equipment engines;and· Free from defects in materials and workmanship which can cause the failure ofan emission warranted part for a period of five years or 3000 hours of operationafter the engine is delivered to the initial retail purchaser.John Deere is liablefor damages to other engine components caused by the failure of a warrantedpart during the warranty period.If any emission related part on your engine isdefective, the part will be repaired or replaced by John Deere.WARRANTED PARTSCoverage under this warranty extends only to the parts listed below (theemission control system parts) to the extent these parts were present on theengine purchased.Fuel Metering System:· Carburetor and internal parts (or fuel injection system).· Air/fuel ratio feedback and control system.· Cold start enrichment system.Air Induction System:· Air Cleaner· Controlled hot air intake system.· Intake customary business hours at anyauthorized John Deere Commercial and Consumer Equipment Retailer locatedwithin the United States of America.Repair or replacement of any warrantedpart will be performed at no charge to the owner, including diagnostic laborwhich leads to the determination that a warranted part is defective, if thediagnostic work is performed at an authorized John Deere Commercial andConsumer Equipment Retailer.Any parts replaced under this warranty shallbecome the property of John Deere.MAINTENANCE WARRANTY COVERAGEa) Any warranted part which is not scheduled for replacement
